Village Cafe proprietor raising funds for “Friend of Downtown” recovering from non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma
Kristy Petty McKown: I have a friend named Jared Tucker. He is a wonderful man, a dear friend and a Downtownie in the true meaning of the word. Even if you haven’t met him, you have probably seen him at The Village a time or two. Having an espresso or maybe acting as my CIO of all things technology. He lives in Downtown and very slyly supports most ever business in Downtown Bryan in one way or the other.
If you have been missing his face, it is because he has been battling Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma since last summer. This horrible disease has attacked his trachea and esophagus making it impossible for him to eat or drink anything for almost an entire year. Through very costly surgeries and treatments, he has officially beaten the cancer but not without a great deal of damage to the body he worked so hard to keep healthy. Now due to Covid 19, he is at an elevated health risk and is facing the many challenges of healing in the middle of a pandemic.
If you would like to help Jared be able to rest and recover in order to restore his health, please do so by donating here. This account is to help stave off his return to the workforce when he is still very susceptible to life outside of his home. Thank you so much for the consideration.
