Salaryman Permanently Closes as Chef Justin Holt Fights Leukemia
On November 16, well-known Dallas chef Justin Holt revealed that he hasÂ acute lymphoblastic leukemiaâ€”a cancer of the blood and bone marrowâ€”and has been hospitalized for more than a month. Because of the illness, Holt has had to permanently close Salaryman, his highly regarded ramen and yakitori shopâ€”the only place in the city where the noodles were made by hand. After opening in the Bishop Arts District in September 2019, the 27-seat Salaryman quickly garnered attention.
