University of Houston officials took the high road in accepting an invitation to join the Big 12 that was a quarter century overdue. This being big business and all, playing nice may have been the smart play.Or perhaps UH’s journey was so long and so uncertain—right until the end—that elation over finally being admitted to the conference really did overshadow the bitterness of having been left out in the cold for so long.Besides, regardless of who did what to whom, last Friday was a very good day for the University of Houston.
